Because the data lands in a real database rather than GHL's reporting layer, you can report across objects, join on custom fields, roll figures up across sub-accounts, and combine GHL data with sources GHL cannot hold at all.
- What are GoHighLevel's reporting limitations?
- GoHighLevel's native reporting covers contact and opportunity metrics well, but it thins out beyond that. Cross-object reporting involving custom fields is limited, object-level reporting is less mature than contact reporting, the agency-level dashboard cannot be customised at all (only sub-account dashboards can), and reports can only use data already inside GHL, so external sources such as an e-commerce platform or a carrier statement cannot appear. The usual workarounds are exporting to Looker Studio, hiring a developer, or editing the dashboard with a browser CSS extension.
- How do I get past GoHighLevel's 3 custom object limit?
- You do not raise the cap inside GoHighLevel; it is a platform limit and removing it is an open feature request. The practical route is to keep GHL as the system of record for contacts and opportunities and model the additional objects somewhere that has no cap.
