Browser Companion Consent
Click-through EULA for the Chrome extension. What the Companion reads, what it transmits, the limits of the sensitive-field sensor.
Inscendo Browser Companion: Consent and End-User License Agreement
Effective Date: June 26, 2026 Version: 1.1 Provider: Inscendo Automation Inc., a Texas corporation Software: Inscendo Browser Companion, a Chrome browser extension (the "Companion")
1. What you are agreeing to
By installing or using the Companion, you ("you" or "User") agree to this Consent and End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") and to the Inscendo Master Subscription Agreement ("MSA"), Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"), AI Code of Conduct ("Code"), and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Companion.
2. What the Companion does
When the Companion is installed and you (or an automation you have authorized) cause it to attach to a browser tab, the Companion uses Chrome's extension interfaces, with broad access to the tabs you direct it to, to:
(a) read the active tab's page content (text, links, images, and structure); (b) take screenshots of the active tab's rendered viewport and full page; (c) read JavaScript-console messages and errors; (d) read network-request metadata and bodies; (e) execute JavaScript that Inscendo IQ specifies, in the page's context, which may read the page's local storage, cookies (subject to the browser's same-origin restrictions), and the results of network calls; (f) issue user-input events (click, type, fill form, select option, drag, press key) on the page's elements; (g) navigate the tab to URLs the agent specifies (including new tabs); (h) detect, by content-script heuristic, the presence of password fields, one-time-code fields, and payment-card fields, and (when such a field is detected) automatically detach from the tab.
The data captured by (a) through (g) is transmitted to Inscendo's servers and to Inscendo's AI model provider for processing as part of the Service. Sensitive-field detection (h) is a heuristic. It may fail. Do not rely on it as a guarantee that credentials or payment data will not be transmitted.
3. What you authorize
By installing the Companion and choosing to attach it, you authorize Inscendo and Inscendo IQ to:
(a) read the data described in § 2(a)–(e) on every tab to which you cause the Companion to attach, including tabs in which you are signed into your bank, email, healthcare portal, employer system, government system, social media, cloud accounts, source-code repositories, productivity suites, and any other site;
(b) take actions described in § 2(f)–(g) on those tabs, including clicking buttons, filling forms, submitting forms, executing JavaScript, navigating to other pages, and opening new tabs;
(c) transmit the captured data to Inscendo's servers and to Inscendo's AI model provider for AI processing.
Each action the Companion takes is taken as you and on your authority. You are responsible for the consequences.
4. What you must not do
You shall not:
(a) attach the Companion to any browser session, account, or system you are not authorized to access: including any system covered by an employer's access policy, any account in which authorization to share access is restricted, or any system whose terms of service prohibit automated agents;
(b) attach the Companion to any session containing Protected Health Information (HIPAA), Cardholder Data (PCI-DSS), classified or controlled-unclassified information, attorney-client-privileged communications, work product, third-party trade secrets you are contractually obligated to protect, or session credentials for any system you are not authorized to share access to;
(c) install or attach the Companion on any device or browser used by any person under the age of 18;
(d) use the Companion to interact with any system in violation of (i) that system's terms of service or robots-exclusion configuration, (ii) the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030), (iii) the Stored Communications Act, (iv) any analogous state or foreign law, or (v) any rate limit or anti-automation measure;
(e) use the Companion to interact with any electoral system, voting infrastructure, government login portal, or critical-infrastructure operator console;
(f) disable, weaken, modify, or attempt to circumvent the sensitive-field sensor or any other safety mechanism in the Companion;
(g) distribute, repackage, or modify the Companion;
(h) use the Companion to scrape, exfiltrate, or harvest data from any third-party site at a volume that would constitute commercial scraping;
(i) use the Companion to bypass paywalls, account limits, anti-bot measures, or per-user restrictions imposed by any third party;
(j) direct the Companion at, or leave it attached to, browser sessions logged into financial, banking, healthcare, legal, government, or other sensitive accounts. The Companion reads on-screen content and may be deceived by malicious or deceptive content on the pages it visits; you should run it only against trusted sites and withhold access to sensitive accounts and credentials it does not need.
5. Sensitive-data acknowledgments
You acknowledge each of the following:
(a) Data goes to our AI provider. Page contents, screenshots, and the results of agent-evaluated JavaScript that are sent to Inscendo's servers are also transmitted to Inscendo's AI model provider for processing. That provider's terms govern its processing.
(b) Data appears in logs. Inscendo retains logs of the Companion's tool calls and results for up to thirty (30) days, with automated secret-redaction but not automated PII redaction.
(c) Sensitive-field detection is best-effort. The sensor detects standard password, one-time-code, and payment-card fields. Custom-built or non-standard input fields may not be detected. The Companion may attach to and read pages containing your credentials, payment information, or other sensitive data before the sensor triggers.
(d) Reattachment overrides the pause. If the sensor detaches the Companion and you (or an automation you authorize) click "Reattach," the Companion resumes reading the page including any sensitive fields then visible. You are responsible for that decision.
(e) Chrome's yellow banner. While the Companion is attached, Chrome displays a banner at the top of the affected tab indicating that the browser is being controlled by an extension. You can click "Cancel" on that banner to detach immediately.
(f) The Companion is not sandboxed from your real browser session. The Companion attaches to your actual logged-in Chrome browser. Cookies, OAuth tokens, autofilled values, saved passwords (where Chrome autofills them), and session state are all visible to the agent in the same way they are visible to you.
(g) Third-party site terms. Many websites prohibit automated browsing. Use of the Companion may breach those websites' terms and may expose you to civil or criminal liability. You are responsible for assessing the legality of any specific use.
(h) Inscendo IQ can be deceived by what it sees. The agent acts on the content it observes on the page. Malicious or deceptive on-screen content, including instructions hidden in page text, images, or returned data ("prompt injection"), may cause the agent to take actions you did not intend, including actions that conflict with your instructions. Inscendo does not detect or block such attacks and does not guarantee they are prevented. You are responsible for what you direct the Companion to do, where you direct it, and the access you grant it.
6. Data we collect, use, and retain
The Privacy Policy describes our collection, use, and retention practices generally. With respect to the Companion specifically:
- Captured browser data (page content, screenshots, console messages, network metadata, JavaScript-evaluation results) is logged for up to thirty (30) days and used solely to operate the Service, debug, prevent abuse, and respond to your prompts.
- We do not sell or share captured browser data.
- We do not use captured browser data to train foundation AI models.
- Our AI model provider receives captured browser data as part of providing AI processing under its commercial-API terms with Inscendo.
- You can pause the Companion at any time by clicking "Cancel" on Chrome's banner, by using the Companion's pause control, or by uninstalling the extension from Chrome.
7. License
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Inscendo grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to install and use the Companion for the sole purpose of using the Service. The Companion is licensed, not sold; Inscendo retains all right, title, and interest. Reverse engineering, decompilation, modification, redistribution, and creation of derivative works are prohibited except to the extent applicable law overrides this restriction.
8. Disclaimers
THE COMPANION IS PROVIDED AS-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS, AND AS-AVAILABLE. INSCENDO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, AND OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. INSCENDO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SENSITIVE-FIELD SENSOR WILL DETECT ALL CREDENTIALS OR SENSITIVE FIELDS.
9. Indemnification by you
You shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Inscendo and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claim, damage, loss, fine, penalty, or reasonable attorneys' fee arising out of or related to:
(a) your installation or use of the Companion in violation of this Agreement, the AUP, the Code, or applicable law; (b) any unauthorized transaction, data loss, account lockout, regulatory enforcement, or terms-of-service violation arising from the Companion's activity in your browser; (c) the disclosure of credentials, payment data, attorney-client material, employer-confidential material, or any other information you should not have permitted the Companion to access; (d) any claim by your employer, by a website operator, by a service provider, or by a third party arising from your use of the Companion; (e) the Companion's transmission to any third party of data you should not have permitted it to access.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Inscendo's aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of the Companion is limited as set out in MSA § 13. In no event will Inscendo be liable for unauthorized transactions, data loss, account lockouts, transmission of credentials to third parties, or any other consequence of agent activity in your browser, except to the extent caused by Inscendo's gross negligence or willful misconduct and except as required by applicable law.
11. Browser environment requirements
The Companion is supported only on:
- Google Chrome (current and previous major version on supported operating systems);
- Chromium-based browsers as Inscendo enumerates from time to time.
The Companion may be distributed (a) through the Chrome Web Store, or (b) by direct download for manual installation ("Load unpacked"), which requires enabling Chrome Developer Mode. The installation method available to you may change over time. Where you install the Companion by direct download, you acknowledge that Chrome may display a periodic prompt asking whether to disable developer extensions; you are responsible for managing this prompt.
12. Updates
Inscendo may push updates to the Companion. By installing the Companion, you authorize Inscendo to update it without further consent (subject to Chrome's permission-change prompts where applicable). Inscendo may also discontinue the Companion at any time.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Companion at any time by uninstalling it. Inscendo may terminate your access to the Companion at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. Sections 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 14–17 survive termination.
14. Governing law; disputes
This Agreement is governed by Texas law. Disputes are resolved per MSA § 16 (mandatory binding arbitration in Dallas, Texas, with class-action waiver).
15. Geographic restriction
The Companion is offered only to U.S.-based users acting within the United States. You represent that you meet that condition. The Companion is not intended for users in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, China, Russia, Brazil, or any sanctioned jurisdiction.
16. Severability; entire agreement
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder will remain in effect. This Agreement, together with the documents it incorporates, is the entire agreement on this subject.

Click-through acknowledgment
Before the Companion attaches to a tab for the first time, the User must affirmatively accept a consent screen that presents, and requires the User to agree to, each of the following. (Consent is recorded, and is required again whenever the Companion or this consent text is updated.) By accepting, the User affirms:
• I am at least 18 years old and located in the United States.
• I understand the Companion will read the contents of, take screenshots of, and run JavaScript in any browser tab to which I cause it to attach, and that the captured data will be transmitted to Inscendo's servers and to Inscendo's AI model provider for processing.
• I understand the sensitive-field sensor is a heuristic and may fail. I will not attach the Companion to any session containing Protected Health Information, payment-card data, classified data, attorney-client material, or any other information I am not authorized to share.
• I agree to the Inscendo Browser Companion Consent and End-User License Agreement and to the Inscendo Master Subscription Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, AI Code of Conduct, and Privacy Policy.
